The second best day of my life

26 July 2009 - Liverpool vs Singapore @ Kallang National Stadium.

We had some technical difficulties whilst trying to get into Singapore (car issue). It eventually took us almost 90mins to reach the stadium BECAUSE we had to go into Singapore and then get kicked out and then to go back into Singapore with a different car. *high stress point*

Stress!!!

But was it worth it? HELL YEAH!!!

The atmosphere was electrifying. The crowd was there by 4pm and the KOP End was already filled to the brim an hour before kick-off. Imagine waves and waves of people dressed in red all walking towards the stadium. Bliss.

Pre-game Mexican wave served with beers set the stage for the game. Right before the game kicked-off they played our anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone". The whole stadium stood and sang every word of the song. My hair literally stood. I would never trade that moment for anything in the world.

You'll Never Walk Alone

Eventually the game did start and we never knew time 90mins could just fly by so fast. Before we knew it, it was the end of the game and the score board read 5-0. Voronin, Riera, Nemeth (2), Torres scored to cap off Liverpool's first pre-season tour win.

Being KOP-ites, hardly anyone left till the Liverpool players did a lap around the stadium. We saluted, applauded and sang songs as the players walked by the KOP End.

I must say that if Xavi Alonso didn't know before this, he knows now for sure that he is much loved by his Asian fans!!!

To my fellow KOP-ites; Papi, Limbo, Botak and Mental!!! You guys rock! Thank you for being part of this experience with me. We are Red and we are proud.

LIVERPOOL TILL WE DIE

Sigh. Only thing that can top this now is a visit to the promised land: Anfield KOP End!

For those who don't know, the best day of my life was when we won the Champions League in Istanbul - 25 May 2005. Liverpool is life.

Obsessed

No. No. Not me but the movie.

I was expecting a mediocre movie of sorts since the cast what a relatively unknown Idris Elba (from American Gangster cast), Beyonce and Ali Larter (drools) but much to surprise it was not bad.

This movie kind of reminded me how psychotic some people can be. Ali Larter honestly pulls off her role brilliantly. I mean with those legs she can pull mostly anything off.

Ali Larter

Beyonce was so-so in her first 'real' movie role. I waited to the end to see if she would burst out in song and thankfully she didn't! LOL

I enjoyed it. It is somehow freaky that i could relate to it in a way but i guess that boils down to my past relationships. I don't want to spoil it but revealing details but do watch it if you got nothing else to do.

I won't rate it because i don't get paid for watching movies although i wish i did.

Bootylicious

Wednesday night

Time check: 8.18pm
Location: Happy Hours at Waikiki PJ (probably 3rd jug)
Number of people: Everyone is a friend at Waik's
Next plan: Velvet MAMBO JUMBO of course!!!
Tomorrow: Wake up with a hangover and go to work.

Now.

Time check: 8.18pm
Location: Office desk working on a proposal
Number of people: Zero. Zilch. Nada. Kosong.
Next plan: Dinner or Sleep whichever comes first
Tomorrow: Wake up still sleepy and go to work.

GAH.

Is it the coming of age? 'With greater pay comes greater hours at the office?' I have to be honest work has been quite on a low-down lately and i'm still at the office. Imagine if it was fever-pitch time. Might as well bring my bed and bolster ainnit.

Is this what life is about?

Work till you can't work no more -> Go home rest for a mere hours -> and PRESS REPEAT?!

Why do we work? To get money.

Why we need money? To pay for that roof over your head. To pay for that car that gets you around. To pay for holidays that end too soon. To pay for stuff we don't need.

I figured it was man who made money not the other way around but i could be wrong.

Sigh. Maybe i'm just homesick and miss those Wednesday nights or is it just "You're Unbelievable" playing in the background. Mambo Jumbo, thanks for the memories.

You're unbelievable ..... yaaaaaaaaaaa

Trust the Japanese

Only the Japanese can have absolutely mental shows like this. I can honestly if there were shows like this on our TV i'd stay home more and save moolah.

Someone should really do a Malaysian version.

Okkkkkkkkkkk.

On second thought scrap that. No Malaysian version, we'll get into trouble. Smacking bottoms is enough to get it off the air.

Are you for real?

Malaysia #7 on Horniest Country List

What??? How does one rate the horny level of a country? Number of condoms sold? Does someone stand outside the club to see how many people are going to get laid? Tell me please.

And how did Malaysia get to number 7? Aloha? Poppy? Since when? Everytime i go there, it's always packed with men trying to outbuy the next table. If the next table has 2 bottles they must buy 3. Dumb. BEACH CLUB? That's like a brothel that serves alcohol with a live band.

On a more positive note, this means Malaysians are known to have a good time no? I myself know a lot of people who spend 1/3 of their salary on partying. Ahem. Anything to boost this economic downturn. Visit Malaysia spend your hard earned cash on girls who aren't from Malaysia in Beach Club!!!

Another personal note, I got to agree with Russia though :D and just added Greece and Brazil on the MUST visit countries list.

Beach Club!? GAWD

It's almost a year i've been working here in JB. Crap. Got to go. Will continue this in er...three days? hahah.

Peace.

I shed a tear

Watched MJ's memorial last night. It was certainly moving and did give me goosebumps. Stevie Wonder's song was chilling to say the least.

Teared when they sang We Are The World and Heal The World. You see, I grew up with his music. I even watched him live in KL during his Dangerous Tour.

It's been two weeks. Let the man rest in peace. He deserves it.

Thank you for the music and memories MJ.

My Funeral

Have you imagined how your funeral would be like? I know I have.

I've been having weird dreams of late. Got robbed, held ransom, slashed and basically the works so planning my funeral doesn't sound like a bad plan. Maybe it is also partially due to the global mourning for MJ's death that caused my thoughts to linger.

I've pictured my funeral to be a happy occasion. An occasion to celebrate the life that we had and reminisce the good times. *Note to self to include funds for a party at my funeral in my will*

Cremated me. Take my organs (if they are of any use). Throw a party and remember the good times.

Ok, time to go write my will.

Hate waiting

I absolutely hate waiting.

I hate waiting for someone for more than the 'allowed' 5-10mins. I hate making people wait and if I know i'm going to be late least I have the decency to call and let them know. Unlike 'some' people.

Just pisses me off.
