Rough Weekend

Don't think I've had such a hectic weekend as the one that just passed. Thursday was suppose to be a quiet night at Waikiki. Key word here being 'suppose'.

Aaron just so happen to finish his jamming session early so suggested drinks. One thing led to another and all of us ended up wasted and promising each other to stay home on Friday.

Friday came and went with all the promises broken as early as 6pm. Ended up in Savahn with Gerald and gang. I can't remember ever seeing Hatish drunk for two nights in a row! LOL.

Saturday was more relaxed in comparision. Met up with Daniel at Modesto's Plaza Damas. Hmm I was probably too shy (and sober) to mingle with other bloggers but it was my time anyway and it was an experience.

Met up with Gerald and gang again in, YES you guessed it Savahn :P I'm always amazaed that there is always one bottle of vodka and one bottle of whiskey on Gerald's table. Never ever seen an empty bottle on his table. Magical wonders of alcohol.

By the way, Prema released her demo recently. She currently performs gigs with 2 bands, Aseana Percussion Unit and International Groove Collective. She is Logan's younger sister for those who aren't in the know. Check it out at Prema's page

GREAT! Just when you thought Sunday was a calm day you get three different phone calls asking you to get your butt out. Kent's birthday today. Damn, thought it was tommorrow. Now I HAVE to go out.

Happy Bday Mofo!

Project Zoo-Out

Click the Project Zoo-Out link for more information. Over 100 pledges to date. Come support.

Transformers rocked! Brian Kamal who is in London is complaining because the movie only premieres there on the 27th. The effects and the robots was awesome. Can't wait for the next two sequels. Bring on Galvatron! And yes, I still think Starscream is the coolest. I wouldn't mind Bumblebee as my car either.

What's next? Thundercats? Let's picture it. Mel Gibson as Lion-O? LL Cool J as Pantera? LOL. This could be ugly. Alvin and The Chipmunks releasing in Dec. I say do Smurfs and Voltron as well while you're at it.

On a more serious matter, we've got a new number 9. Fernando Torres. Can he lead us to the promised land? Here's to praying that Senor Rafa and the boys will give us a 19th league championship. You'll Never Walk Alone.

El Nino has arrived

Random thoughts.

79 days to Heroes Season 2.

38 days to EPL 2007/2008.

Public Announcement

Two upcoming events.

First, a charity fund-raiser event. Help the children. Click on the image below for more information.

Instead of going out on Friday night stay home and pledge RM75 for a fun filled Saturday (August 11th) at the Zoo with 30 lovely children. Please tell your friends and help spread the word people. This one's for the children la la la... (Who sang that again?)

Second event is more for drinkers I guess.

Hi-Spiritz located in Hartamas (opposite Bojangles) is having a 3-Nite Long Grand Opening Party this Thursday, Friday and Saturday (July 5th, 6th & 7th). Enjoy Free Flow Beer from 7pm to 9pm or while stocks last. Dinner is also on the house on Thursday (July 5th) so come fill your stomach with either beer or food tommorrow.

For the record I'm going for both the above said events but please let me stress to please pass the word around for the Zoo-Out Fun & Fund-raising event. Thanks

Ciggies prices going up? Again? RM8.00 by the weekend I heard. Doubt there will be much pinching of smokes in the future. A sign to stop? Time shall tell.

Why did I stop playing tennis?

I used to play tennis back when i was 12. My coach was this pain in the ass old timer who just for kicks would make training at 8am on Saturday and Sunday.

One fine weekend, the coach mentions something to my mum about sending me to this junior national training camp or something. I was 12, you think I cared about tennis? I lived and breathed football.

When the time came to choose between going to this junior national tennis camp or going for the district football try-outs, you could guess which one i picked.

No regrets though. Probably couldn't make a future playing tennis either. The men's circuit back then was competitive with Becker, Lendl, Wilander, Egberg and etc fighting it out. Didn't really care about the women's circuit much.

These days it's the total opposite. Was watching the highlights from Wimbeldon earlier and the I must say the women's circuit is certainly more exciting. Doesn't help some of the players are real eye-candy.

Daniela Hantuchova

Elena Dementieva

Maria Sharapova

And of course the one who makes more money off the court than on the court,

Anna Kournikova

There are others too but this post might never end. Time to find my old racket I say. Fancy a game anyone?
