I need a Hoe!

Although, i've earlier in the week made up my mind not to drink till Saturday but somehow the thirst for a Hoegaarden is too strong to resist. Sigh, the weakness of men to fall pray to the temptation of beer.

The Hoe!

But i must detest, this isn't just any other beer. Hoegaarden is a smooth and tasty beer and is priced very reasonably. I've only found this 'cure' for my thirst at Carnegie's KL. Amazingly though i've only been to Carnegie's on Wednesday nights which happens to be ladies' nite. (What a coincidence!)

Ladies get free drinks as usual (where is the sexual equality now sista?) but still it's the Hoe that rocks. Besides my Kota Bharu trip has been pushed forward a day earlier which means i need 'some' alcohol before i leave tommorrow.

Me: Up for Carnegie's?
Eddie: Doubt it la got to check my workload
Me: Hoegaarden dude!!! Can almost taste it!
Eddie: Oh ya .. hmmm but trying to save money la not spend it!
Me: Most we'll take is 5 hours
Eddie: LMAO yea rite...
Me: Carnegie's 9pm, Velvet 11-ish and Fei Kai 2am ok?
Eddie: Hmm shall seriously think about it. Shall try to get Seaton along

Eddie looks doubtful at the moment, so is there anyone else who might be interested in going for a Hoegaarden? Aaron's out. TJ's out. Maverick's out. I shall wait and see .. 7 hours to Hoe Time.

Bleh

Great! My internet connection at home got disconnected. No, it ain't Streamyx but a private internet provider because i quote "This building has built-in internet cables" so we can't put in Streamyx. Fine suit yourself.

Maybe they should consider sending out reminders or maybe a bill to remind their clients about payments due? Morons. Now i owe them RM450! Buggers, there goes Liverpool jersey i wanted to buy next month.

To top all this up, the only mode of payment for cash users is to bank it in their account(petrol & parking think free ah?) AND fax them a copy of the bank in!!! Might as well i just go to their office and stuff the money in their bosses pocket and do a little dance right? Sheesh. How is it that i can't pay online? It's an internet company for crying out loud.

Bleh.

Heading off to Kota Bharu again and this time i'm sure Eddie won't wanna exchange places. Should be back on Satruday evening just in time for ...

On another note, try this site quite cool. Don't really know anyone's address in Australia so i can't try it out but have a go on it. Take Note

Mmmmm ...

There are a few things i miss from college (HELP Institute @ Pusat Bandar Damansara)and one of them is certainly the amount of food outlets right outside/on top of college. I mean comparatively, my work place now (Section 11, PJ near UH) has like er.. 7 mamak shops and 1 malay shop! There IS so much of this food you can take.

So since i was at Pusat Bandar Damansara to drop off an invite, I decided to have lunch there. As soon as i saw Subway i knew i HAD to have lunch there.

Steak and cheese on Italian bread with extra olives and pickles. Topped with mustard, barbeque & a bit of chili sauce. I'm making myself hungry again!

There are only like 4 Subway outlets in Malaysia which is totally baffling. I mean there are more KLG outlets and their chicken isn't even nice. Subway franchises (is there such a word?) just provide them with a suitable location. Mmmmm ...

I'm off to Kota Bharu tommorrow for another event. A pity won't be able to watch the Champions League game with John & Delvin (hardcore Arsenal fans). Hopefully there is somewhere to watch the game or else i'll be stuck in my hotel room.

Renaissance Kota Bharu

They have a cigar bar! Arghh .. not like i smoke cigars also. Don't know if alcohol is easy to find. Note to self: Do not wear shorts in Kota Bharu except when in the room!

Anyone want anything from Kota Bharu? And no, i'm not going over to Thailand! Wau? Gasing? Batik? Nasi Dagang? Yummy!

Hail Captain Marvel!

You'll Never Walk Alone

For the second time in almost a year Liverpool did the impossible. To come back from the death and win the game again has certainly made any Cup Final with Liverpool in it worth watching.

Similarities between the Champions Leagie 2005 Final and FA Cup 2006:

1. Watched them both at Home & Away which has now become the official 'good luck' place for Liverpool games.

2. A left back has to score for the opposition ( Maldini & that fluke of a goal from Konchesky)

3. Liverpool are always the home side, hence the lucky red jersey.

4. Dudek and Reina both made incredible saves in extra time that would have made Gordon Banks proud.

5. Smicer scored and got transferred. Cisse scored and will be sold! :)

Oh well all credit to the Hammers though. They were blowing bubbles in the wind but alas the Gerrard-inspired Reds came thru.

Cisse made it 1-2

Captain Marvel made it 2-2

A cracker of a goal from the Man of the Match in injury time to make it 3-3

7th FA Cup victory

The Comback ...

In reference to Rules Rules Rules, the women gave back!

And it goes a lil something like this ...

You GUYS SUCK!!! As if we are gonna care on what are listed above as they are full of SHIT……. We aren't gonna keep refilling the beers and snacks for you because we prefer spending the money on clothes & shoes. (Learn how to do your shopping guys)

We will also watch whatever on TV we want at anytime as long as we pay half of the rent/installment of the house. End of story….

Warning: Don't even think of touching the remote control when Desperate Housewife's on. This may lead to lots of SCREAMING!!!

Thank you and have a nice day,

Regards,

My baby took the morning train ....

Someone stole my Eurotrip DVD. Damn you whoever you are!

The weekend that was ...

Friday

Taman Desa Boys (John not included) went and rocked the whole Heritage Row. Cynna, Maison and Savanh .. ok ok we didn't really rock anywhere but it was a good night. Music is simply awesome in Cynna. Maison is becoming the new 'Atmosphere' and Savanh was typical Savanh. Gogz's bday thingy was at Savanh.

Saturday

Now this is the weird part .. John's bday is on the 14th and Randhir is on the 7th but i think this is how people who grew up in Bangsar do it so we celebrated John's bday on the 6th at Poppy and will be celebrating Randhir on the 11th! Weird.

It was good though seeing old friends all at one place after a very long time.

Rules Rules Rules

I got this off my cousin who is a female so it ain't sexist! Just common knowledge when it comes to 'The Cup of Life'

Extremely important advice and recommendations to be passed on to wives, girlfriends, fiancés, mothers, sisters, daughters, etc.(to all women in general)

These rules are to be communicated prior to the World Cup in June/July this year...

LIST OF RULES

1. From 9th June to 9th July 2006, you should read the sports section of the newspaper so that you are aware of what is going on regarding the World Cup, and that way you will be able to join in the conversations. If you fail to do this, then you will be looked at in a bad way, or you will be totally ignored. DO NOT complain about not receiving any attention.

2. During the World Cup, the television is mine, at all times, without any exceptions. If you even take a glimpse of the remote control, you will lose it (your eye).

3. If you have to pass by in front of the TV during a game, I don’t mind, as long as you do it crawling on the floor and without distracting me. If you decide to stand nude in front of the TV, make sure you put clothes on right after because if you catch a cold, I wont have time to take you to the doctor.

4. During the games I will be blind, deaf and mute, unless I require a refill of my drink or something to eat. You are out of your mind if you expect me to listen to you, open the door, answer the telephone, or pick up the baby that just fell from the
second floor... it wont happen.

5. It would be a good idea for you to keep at least 2 six packs in the fridge at all times, as well as plenty of things to nibble on, and please do not make any funny faces to my friends when they come over to watch the games. In return, you will be
allowed to use the TV between 12am and 6am, unless they replay a good game that I missed during the day.

6. Please, please, please!! if you see me upset because one of my teams is losing, DO NOT say “get over it, its only a game”, or “don’t worry, they’ll win next time”. If you say these things, you will only make me angrier and I will love you less.
Remember, you will never ever know more about football than me and your so called “words of encouragement” will only lead to an arguement.

7. You are welcome to sit with me to watch one game and you can talk to me during halftime but only when the commercials are on, and only if the halftime score is pleasing me. In addition, please note I am saying “one” game, hence do not use
the World Cup as a nice cheesy excuse to “spend time together”.

8. The replays of the goals are very important. I don’t care if I have seen them or I haven’t seen them, I want to see them again. Many times. There are always points of discussions which we missed the last time.

9. Tell your friends NOT to have any babies, or any other child related parties or gatherings that requires my attendance
because:

I will not go,
I will not go, and
I will not go.

But, if a friend of mine invites us to his house on a Sunday to watch a game, we will be there in a flash. WORD!

10. The daily World Cup highlights show on TV every night is just as important as the games themselves. Do not even think about saying “but you have already seen this...why don’t you change the channel to something we can all watch??”, the reply will be: “Refer to Rule #2 of this list”.

11. And finally, please save your expressions such as “Thank God the World Cup is only every 4 years”. I am immune to these words, because after this comes the Champions League, Premier League, Italian League, Spanish League, etc etc. Also the European Championship & Copa America

Thank you for your co-operation.

Regards,

Men of the World

* Please don't take this too seriously. It's all meant in good fun!

May Has Arrived

Spent the last 5 days in Summerset. It was a good break from the norm. Coming back to work today was so hard. I literally had to drag myself out of the bed. God only knows when i can take another holiday. If anyone is looking for pictures from Summerset i suggest you check out Eddie's blog as he took like 200 pictures.

Right now i'm just too tired to do anything. If only i can figure out a way to get out of work and head home ..

~Way too much beer~

Rest in Peace Christopher Chiam, you will be missed.
