3 Days and Counting

How is it that the busiest period of the year (work-wise) is during this past two weeks? Does it help that everyone I'm dealing with is either in some sunny beach resort or in some sunny beach resort!? Everyone's on a holi-fucking-day.

It seems like Christmas just flew by and the New Year weekend will do the same. Is this why we get an education, get a job and work? Sigh. I need a less stressful job. Something in the lines of paying me for watching TV, drinking, partying, playing games and of course sleeping. (Edgar, don't say it I coming on the 14th already ok?)

On top of that I get an email requesting .. no no demanding to change the some 'event stuff' by tomorrow evening. Why don't I just buy some Lego and we can all be happy? I'll throw in a box free McDonald's soft toy as well. How about it? :D

I can somehow relate to Edgar's rantings over this so-called holiday season work.

To make things worse, What the fuck happened at Ewood Park? Blackburn just got thrashed / skinned / murdered by Arsenal 6-2 and we can't even get a DRAW? Bah.

Next four out of five games will be at Anfield. Next game is with the Thugs (Bolton) and The Sulk (Anelka) who is firing on all cylinders. Let's not forget Mr. Spit-a-Lot Diouf too. Can we have Neil Ruddock back for this one game? PLEASE.

I need a drink or two and maybe much more right now. This friday ...

Velocity

Probably be wasted even before midnight. Hopefully it won't get too packed until you have to line up for 20 mins just to piss. I don't even want to think about those people who are IN the wave pool and need to go.

Lastly,

New Women's Mag?

A friend forwarded this picture to me. It's a joke and not meant to be sexist at all so NO legal proceedings ok? Besides salary isn't in yet.

Back to disturbing people on their holidays.

Is our time up?

Taiwan Earthquake. Alert on possible tsunami. Johor flooded. Sumatra hit by tsunami. Vietnamese urged to evacuate. What is going on? Is our time on the planet up? Must be something about the Xmas / Boxing Day / New Year holiday season.

Sigh. This the season to be jolly? I think not.

Merry Xmas everyone!

Imti doing the Santa

Merry Xmas everyone! Didn't blog for almost a week in order to allow the pimping to get it's responses. LOL.

Anyways, the past three days were a blur. Going mental would be the keyword for those nights.

The past week had it's ups and downs. Work got heavier with January looking like a busy month. Maybe they should stop work all together in December. Pfft.

Let's see, there was the Martell Rise Above Party at Sunway Convention Centre. There was the opening of Hi-Spiritz at Hartamas. Ian's new place right next to Old Tavern. Setup of the place looks like Vista Bar.

There was the Liverpool 2-0 win versus Watford. Bellamy and Alonso! And then there the Xmas Gift Exchange Party at Checkers a week before.

Everyone was given a RM10 budget to work with and yours truly ended up with a boxers :)

A size too big?

Party went on till about 5am? Think my running tab there is back to where it was a month ago!

Crazy Gang

There will most probably be a BBQ Party on New Year's Eve. Don't know the final details on it but it's surely better than heading down to KL and suffering in the jam and all.

Santa Rayner

Met a blogger whose site I frequent at Checkers that night as well. Daniel Franklin and his ManEater columns ROCK. Honestly dude, where do you find those hot women?

Daniel and me

By the way anyone want to buy Samson concert tickets on the 6th of January do let me know aight? Ho ho ho.

Pimping Ain't Easy #1

As promised, I've decided to pimp a friend out. Simply because I got nothing better to do and with the amount of parties around town for singles I might as well jump on the bandwagon right?

Let me introduce the world to a hard core Liverpool fan who is currently the most driven person I know of present...

Name: Edgar G. Phang
Race: Eurasian-Chinese
Origin: Ipoh, Perak
Been friends since: '98 HELP Institute days

'Kerek' enough?

An interesting individual whom i got to know first at Exit 11 of HELP Institute and then better during our Kwik-E Cards work days.Football crazy and a former Malaysia Foosball National Champion. Still ranked #20 in the country mind you. Foosball Malaysia click under Points & Ranking although they mis-typed his name there.

Stevie G's old number

From bar raiding to dj-ing in front of 7,000 people to charming snakes, you would think he would take a break but Mr.Edgar here wants to take his friend Sunil to Anfield and Athens next year. Tsk tsk .. such dedication and love.
FYI = Athens is the venue for next years Champions League Final.

Spinning for 7,000 people

Recently, been making Phuket his second home for work and strictly work. (Click Ecopia for verification) It's hard to find him ever free. Highly recommended for serious conversations, exceptionally quick sms replies, crazy party nights and 'business previews'

Posing in Phuket

Last time, I saw him was during his close girlfriend who is almost like his sister, Karen's marriage registration party. He's been hard to get hold of since. (Or is that me?)

With Karen

Random facts about Edgar.

* Could have played football for Perak but chose a life of less injuries.

* Took 70 shots of a campfire from one angle because he wanted a 'perfect picture'

* Able to work 5 laptops at once.

* Has a loyal bunch of indian homies who got his back. Herind the head honcho will take you out.

* Girls, do not ask him if you have put on weight. ROFL

* He LOVES to shop. Honest.

* Drank for 2 months with me everyday to celebrate our birthdays. March 8 to May 8.

* Tells great ghost stories. Ask him about his D'sara Heights house one.

* Sleep is an option to him not a need.

* Don't try to make him drunk on tequilla. It won't work.

* Able to do a Del Piero style sideburn and rap to Cypress Hill. How many Eurasian-Chinese do you know that can do that?

* Don't let his arrogant & stuck-up first impression put you off. Most people with 'kerek' faces are the nicest people on the planet. *Ahem*

* He has confirmed he isn't suing me for pimping him out.

* Currently seeking a way to have more than 24 hours in a day.

Edgar and Daphne @ Waikiki

Don't take my word for it but check him for yourself. His Friendster or Blog. One of the most trust-worthy person you'll ever meet.

Back-dated

I'm so back dated with my pictures. Can't blame me for being lazy. I mean, when your camera get hijacked by girls at a party, you know you'll get more than 100 pics per party.

Photos from Waikiki November 27 then. Logan and Karen's official registration day.

Happy couple with Kent and Edgar

Logan performed two songs for Karen that night which I recorded part of but the file is so damn huge I can't load it on YouTube for some reason. Will try again later. Yes yes very romantic gesture I must agree.

With Prema

Megat had one drink the whole night (ok la maybe 5 or 6 but to me it was like 1) so I can't explain why he went mental in this picture.

Mental

Can't recall what time we finished but we left once the house lights came on. John obviously disappered way before that. LOL

Group Pic

Ahem. Last picture for the road then.

Posers :D

Okay, now that's settle. I still owe pics from the birthday party at Chill and pictures from the 'trip' which means a whole lot of editing not to mention passing the pics around. Sigh. No wonder I'm back-dated.

By the way Edgar, I still owe you a post. Let me find all your 'bestest' pictures first.

Liverpool 4-0 baby. Now just pray don't meet Barca in the CL.

Booze Alert

Nico and Rayner's birthday 'party' at Chill, Phileo Damansara. Gonna die. Why? Empty stomach and people forcing drinks down your throat simply because you look 'sober'. Anyone mastered the art of looking drunk while being sober?

I silently plan to leave un-noticed at sometime slightly after 1am. Think that will happen? I think I got a better chance of flying to the moon.

Notes to self;

* Do not dance. People will notice if there is lack of movement of on the dance floor and will come looking for you.

* Do not allow your car keys to be 'taken' from you under any circumstances at all

* Do not mention you got an early day tommorrow and you got to go early. That would make people say 'Aiyoh where can? Ok ok la down this and you ciao la' which is simple but imagine 25 people telling you the same thing.

* Do not volunteer to drink the birthday boys' flaming lambo / tequilla shots/ sambucca shots unless it's a life or death situation.

* Set alarm NOW (check)

* If all else fails, god save me

Have a good Wednesday night people.

Catch me if you can

That would definately make the morning drive 'interesting'.

I've noticed the sudden increase in 'Singles Only' parties. First there was the Joyce organized party at Somo, then the singles gatherings at The Attic and now another friend of mine called asking if i was interesting to attend this Speed Dating thing.

Are we becoming like Singapore? Too focused on careers and no time to meet new people and to date? Nah .. I think it's just another excuse to get wasted and hit on the opposite sex without flinching since that's the purpose of the party.

Think they'll be a GT girls singles party? :p

Panadols Don't Work

.. on me. Do NOT go to Lock Up Bangsar to drink beer on a Sunday. I'm not sure what it is but I've got a headache until now (4pm!) and I only had like 5 mugs? Maybe 6? Crap.

Had an event at Mandarin Oriental last Wed and Thur so missed The Ivy's anniversary party. Heard Oliver danced on the bar top and Chris has proof! Will try to get hold of it.

Went to Lumut TLDM for an event on the weekend so missed Sanctuary's official launch. Is it my fault work has to be in another state? All done though.

First week of December looks rather alcohol-filled. Nico, Rayner and Laych are all born on the 7th of December. *hic* I've been warned to take leave on Thursday but still thinking if I should.

Hmmm .. been too darn lazy to edit the pictures of last week so will only put it up when i feel like it. And also since Edgar commented on the past post about including his number also I'm gonna dedicate a post entirely to pimping him out real SOON.

Fuck it this headache is killing me. I'm out.
