The World is Flat

Monday was suprisingly not as sucky as the usual Mondays. Logan Raj and Karen Tegju got registered yesterday so one crazy ass party in Waikiki. I only got there at midnight but already knew that the party was far from over.

Btw, TJ I didn't purposely bring my camera along it just so happened I had a recee in the morning and I didn't want to leave it in the car. Justified.

Loads of pics but will only load them tommorrow. The one thing that stood out from the night was when Karen's mum asked me 'So when's your turn?' Alamak. Straight blur.

Eventually, Edgar (single) and Kent (single also) joined the conversation and got asked the same thing as well. I got to thinking about the number of weddings in this year itself. Fuck. Even Tom Cruise got married eh.

I'm 28 but I ain't ready to get married. I'm single to begin with anyway. Guess I've got things which are more important than that right now. Besides haven't gone to Anfield yet and who knows which team my future wife is gonna support.

On another note, toll prices to go up Jan 1st. Getting to work is gonna be more expensive. LDP 50 cents more. I don't even wanna know about petrol prices. Thank god my rental has been stagnant for the past 5 years.

Tarot Card

This is mental. The Lovers?

You are The Lovers

Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.

The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.

Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

I highly doubt I'll ever go see a tarot card reader so i figured what the heck. Didn't expect 'The Lovers' though.

I must go watch Happy Feet this weekend. Damn. Happy Feet Trailer

Checked out Maison last night. Pretty much a toned down 'Ghetto Heaven' with a smaller dance floor. Please explain this; a jug of Long Island is RM80 but for three jugs it's RM120? How much would they charge for 6? RM150?

... Ramblings (Part 2)

.. back to the Groove Nation Magnum (someone *ahem* actually thought it was a 'Magnum' party LOL)..

Yani & Nadia

Quite the stare. Yani and Nadia showed up at Loft KL after checking out ALL the other parties. Happening duo but somebody has got to do it right?

Happy bday Syuk

With the birthday girl Syuk.. err well it wasn't her bday on that day but it was the next day.

Enough with Loft KL. Went to the FlyFM 1st anniversary party and someone stole my FlyFM goodie bag t-shirt! (so what if it was size XXL?!)

I know it wasn't Senthil cause all he was 'stealing' was the beers.

Spot the alco

Back to the future then. November is drawing to a close which means another year is upon us. 10 did and didn'ts of the year on top of my head;

1. I didn't get to bungee jump

2. I did get my MyKad done. (finally)

3. I didn't get to see U2 in concert (Janet i hate you! :P)

4. I did overcome my fear of tequilla. (Only this month though)

5. I didn't learn any form of martial art (unless lighting a sambucca shot in your mouth counts)

6. I did get the camera i wanted.

7. I didn't feel sad for Arsenal when Crazy Lehmann got sent off in the CL Final.

8. I did get upset with Zidane for his stupid headbutt which cost France the World Cup.

9. I didn't go on a alcoholic holiday.

10. I started blogging.

Liverpool 2 PSV 0. Xavi injured. Gonzalez injured. Momo still out. Wtf can't beat us to try to knock our players out? Round of 16 awaits.

Ramblings (part 1)

Champions League action this week. PSV coming for a visit. We should top the group and play either Real Madrid or Barcelona in the second round. That would probably knocked some people off their chairs.

Two more home games after that with Man C and Pompey visiting. Hopefully this could kick back our season into gear.

I'm also looking towards Dec 19's Quarter-Final League Cup clash vs Arsenal at Anfield. Call it what you want, be it "The Reserves Cup" or "Stuart Little's Cup" but it's still a cup.

I've finally decided to load last week's pictures since I had nothing better to do last night.

Where shall we start? November 11th @ Ruums. Tata Young - MTV Party. Shuks invited me since her sister was organizing the event. Couldn't really get close to Tata Young so got close to the bar. Chivas and beers were the order of the day.

Ms.Shuks

Couldn't trade my beer coupons for Chivas so was 'stuck' with 8 beers. Party ended too fast for my liking though because of the night crowd that were coming in. Buggers. I still had 2 beers left!

So Checkers it was. Randy kept feeding me with drinks the whole night. Although now i seriously am wondering where did he get it from.

Next up, was Groove Nation Magnum Launch at Loft KL @ 16th Nov. Guess Thursday nights have been designated to be R'n'B' nights all over KL by some weird forces of nature.

With Mohan, Edgar & Wilson

I remembered Wilson's name! :P

Zouk. Maison. Now Loft KL?

And what does Groove Nation Magnum mean? Ish.

Apparently there was a 'Forces of Nature' event at Atrium at the same time but the Chivas had a force of it's own comparable to "Jedi mind-tricks" which made us stay at Loft KL.

Argh, now the stupid pictures won't load anymore. WTF? .. Guess I'll continue this tommorrow ... Bugger.

Another week

The weekend just flew by. Got some pics to post but been to lazy to upload them so far. Probably do it tommorrow.

Pool view from my condo

Been thinking about swimming but damn rain won't allow it.

By the way, partying in KL has reached it's limit this year. Too routine and boring. Help.

Alternative things to do;

1. Play RISK or taboo at La Bodega.
2. Take up Muay Thai or Capoeira.
3. Go outstation for a weekend.
4. Migrate to somewhere with less familiar faces.
5. Buy any TV series 'box' set and stay at home.

Luc, it's not fair you can wake up at 12noon everyday!
Iris, perhaps you should write a book on these weirdo's

Have a great week people.

Keeping the Faith

Alright this party isn't over. Call me crazy but I believe we're still in it even if Pepe says we ain't. Mr.B it's time to get cracking.

Challenge for the league title? Win the Champion's League AGAIN? (Not many clubs can say AGAIN can they?)

The amount of gloating especially from those Man U fans over the past few months is more than I can take. Come on you Reds!

Got the following quote from Lily the Liverbird's blog. I'm moved.

Luis Garcia (LFC player 2004 – present): "We were sitting in the dressing room and we could clearly hear thousands of fans singing You'll Never Walk Alone. Can you imagine how that felt? We were 3-0 down in the Champions League final and all we could hear were 45,000 people letting us know they still believed in us. We knew they had endured a long journey and made so many sacrifices to be there. It was at that point we started to believe too

Johan Cruyff (Dutch football legend): "There's not one club in Europe with an anthem like You'll Never Walk Alone. There's not one club in the world so united with the fans. I sat there watching the Liverpool fans and they sent shivers down my spine. A mass of 40,000 people became one force behind their team. That's something not many teams have. For that I admire Liverpool more than anything."

I give up

Reaching home at 8.30am on a Sunday morning after partying and waking up again at 10am isn't funny. Add an open house and futsal into the mix and the only thing you would want to do is sleep BUT .. had a 9pm meeting yesterday for an event at Mont Kiara which only ended at 12midnight. Sigh.

To make things worse by the time I got to the mamak opposite my place to eat, Arsenal had scored thru Flamini! (Flamini? Sheesh) It's probably the yellow jersey or probably we JUST CANNOT PLAY AWAY!!!

Fuck. Chelsea at Stamford Bridge 0-1. Man U at Old Trafford 0-2. Arsenal at Emirates 0-3! To make things worse. "Urukhai" Drogba scored. Rio scored and now fucking Kolo Toure scored! God save us. The entire season we only won away TWICE. In the Champions League and in the League Cup.

At this rate we won't be playing in the Champions League next season. Wigan is above us with a game in hand! Playing at the Riverside this Saturday. I dread the worst.

News Flash

*Ahem*

It's the time of the day to talk nonsense and try to piss people off.

Let's start with the free alcohol of the day tip. Info from Farah.

@ Rain

Now don't be stupid and ask me why ladies only because you'll deserve a stupid answer in return. I mean how many places SINCE Finnegan's Bangsar had their Sarong Party Night gave out FREE booze to men???

Some of us *ahem* actually wore sarongs to get free house-pouring drinks ok? One person *I shall not name him* actually wore a wrap-a-round which he stole from his sister!

Eh, we were all in college at that time and money to buy ALOT of booze was hard to come by. Don't give me that look!

Next, the first thing that made me smile this morning.

Bottom of the Championship Southend beats Man U 1-0

Don't go whining now that you played mostly reserves BECAUSE Rooney, Ronaldo, Smith, Heinze played and are all full internationals while Southend has err .. like ZERO international players? Party on Sir Alex!

Next, how many times a day do clubs blast out promotional sms-es? It starts on Wednesdays. Doesn't stop till the sun sets on Saturday. Is it's my fault for filling in my details at the registration counter? The worse part is I don't think there is a way to stop them!

I ain't complaining if it's one sms per club per day but when a certain club sends you the SAME sms 5 times in 20 minutes it starts to make you wonder about giving your number away.

Lastly, instead of heading to Laundry Bar tommorrow I'm thinking of going to a PINK party. It's for a good cause.

Free Entrance, Buy a Drink & Save a Breast.

@ Mezquite 52 AHR

Laundry can wait don't you think?

Enough rambling from yours truly. I love it when the weekend gets nearer.

Clear and Present Danger

The Good - Didn't go drinking last night although there was a birthday party.

The Bad - Stress at work which will result in a beer to de-stress.

The Ugly - Joey's birthday on Friday & some MTV party on Saturday so confirm drinking.

Today.

Work is just appearing out of nowhere. Think at this rate I might as well move into the office.

Liverpool playing Birmingham in the League Cup. Fowler to score and we win! :D

Need to find a regular place to buy DVD's so can go back and change if not clear quality.

Will probably knock out at 10pm and wake up at 3am again. Weird but I ain't taking no sleeping pills.

The last weekend.

Last Friday was quite a high. Event in Hanabi went pretty smoothly. The invited guest cleaned about 3/4 of the wine at the outlet.

Didn't get a good shot of the jazz band but they were pretty good. They name themselves the Jazzy Chillerz. I think I'll be seeing them more often.

Then proceeded to Finnegan's Bangsar for a couple of hours. Kent was flying by the time I arrived. LOL

A bottle of Jack Daniel's was going for RM230 so there was more than enough booze to go around. The usual suspects were there.

Party ended at 2am. Music was kind of sucky by the time they announced it was last call at the bar. As usual went to Checkers to end the night.

Things were totally crazy. Prem was celebrating his birthday (AGAIN!) Took like 40 pictures.

It was like the whole world knew that the only place open at this hour was Checkers. Psycho.

Instead of going home, some of us proceeded to drink somemore! OMG. I know I officially stopped drinking at about 11am. That was Friday.

Saturday was not that great but did have 5 tequilla's. For those who don't know, I have a phobia with tequilas. Some really bad experience and we'll just leave it at that.

Got something else to post but the bloody blogger doesn't seem to want to upload the pic. Me against the world today! Nevermind, will save it for tommorrow.

Sucky sucky Monday

Another week begins. I'm too lazy to blog about the weekend because I haven't uploaded the pics yet. It was an okay weekend though but really nothing much to shout about. Sigh.

Spent the entire day at home yesterday just feeling slightly depressed. Slept at like 9pm and woke up at 3am. Watched Swordfish till 5am and slept again. Gosh, weird sleeping habits.

No idea why the sudden emotional attack. Like a friend said "Maybe it's everything rolled together that hits you all of the sudden" Hmmm .. Waking up for work on a Monday doesn't help either I tell you.

Anyone got suggestion on what to do for a alcohol-free weekend? Foosball? National Finals qualifying has started. LOL. Paintball? Need a big group. Movies? Err..dont' like shopping mall crowds.

~Lunch beckons. KFC should deliver I say!

TGIF

It's Friday yippie! And I'm nursing a hangover. Sigh. What was suppose to be a mild drikning night turned out to be a Guinness Stout-is-good-for-you night. Damn.

Laundry wasn't as packed as I thought it would be but it was relatively nice. The 'live' entertainment was awesome. Jungle Jerry, Krshna, Justin & etc .. you get the drift right?

Okay, it's Friday. 3 parties. Anyone jumping yet?

1. Jack Daniel's Friends of Jack party @ Finnegan's Bangsar.

Err.. not sure what it'll start but should be by 8pm. Prizes, lucky draw and of course Jack Daniel girls .. err I mean drinks.

2. Rain (formerly Modesto's Hartamas) official launch.

Not too sure if it's by invites or not because some girl called me at 8pm to ask if I would like to come for free drinks. Hahahah .. what did u think I would answer?! Duh.

3. Checkers Open House

Awesome food. Free beer. Friendly faces. If booze runs out at the places above come on over because Checkers doesn't close till late. For directions click here

Lastly, for those who still feel Halloween-ish check out The Attic @ Bangsar. For more details click here

If anyone's wondering where I'll be and that a big if, well I'll be at Hanabi Restaurant in Jalan P.Ramlee. No, I'm not having a Japanese eat-all-you-can night but instead I got an event there. Something to do with a jazz band. Will hopefully get some pictures tonight.

Only finish work around 1am. Maybe I'll go home and sleep eh?

YEAH RIGHT!

~Have a great weekend everyone!~

Happy Halloween...

yes, i know it WAS yesterday. I did NOT .. I repeat did NOT succumb to alcohol. Instead I was at Shangri-La's Grand Ballroom setting up a booth. It's actually not a booth but a platform displaying the newest Mercedes Benz model to hit our shores.

Check it

It was 4am I wasn't in the mood to take a better pic ok

The display was part of the launch of the Malaysian International Gourmet Festival at Shangri-La today. 25 restaurants. One month festival.

Malaysians and food. Till death do us apart. And yeah, I had supper at Petaling Street at 4am. That was my Halloween.
