What a week!

I don't know where to start. I'll go by events i guess.

Johnnie Walker Black Label Party

Last Wed at Qbar Sunway. As expected those buggers gave everyone two coupons for drinks. I mean since when did 2 drinks ever become enough?!?

Since Mark, Kent and me were early (which is so un-Malaysian) we decided to have a couple of jugs outside first. As soon as Sabrina arrived we decided to go in with a slight buzz from the beers and vodka's.

The two coupons lasted for like a good 7 minutes before that was gone too. Luckily for us they had this interactive Black Label contest thingy. We were tied for first place with this other team and to break the deadlock the MC wanted either team to produce a 1 cent coin! (Like wtf?!)

Thankfully someone in our team had not one but three 1 cent coins so we grabbed the first prize which was divided equally :)

From then on it was like a blur for me. Drinks came in from left and right. Beer also somehow found a way to our table.

Let's see if i recall properly there was Sabrina, Mark, Kent, John, Suveaa, Jon Chan and Natasha. If i missed anyone i claim temporary amnesia.

Overall, the event was pretty good even with the 2 coupon thingy. It generated more sales and once the event was open to public at 11 it was as if all hell broke loose.

Long weekend folks

Party begins tonite at Q Bar Sunway 8pm. Johnnie Walker Black Odyssey presents THE FRONTIER. The theme of the party kind of reminds me of 'Space' by Chivas which was in Genting. Oh well i guess if you can't beat 'em join 'em right?

Then tommorrow morning with a mild hangover, i'm off to Summerset! 3 days and 2 nights of sun, sea and sand. Apparently, the clients for this trip are drinkers so we've been asked to bring 50 crates of beer!

To make matters more interesting Herind's bday falls on the 21st (Friday) so we should get him throughly wasted. Should be back burnt and really hungover just in time for Kent's bday on Sat! (Don't know where though)

I was suppose to post some pictures up but NO thanks to Luke i haven't received them. I'm still waiting dude!

July madness

Month of July is just one big ass birthday month. Even if you don't wanna get drunk you can't escape it trust me on this. It's only the 12th but there's been like 4 or was it 5 bdays already. Let's see there is there's Terry, Gobi, Herind, Eng Soon, Brian Kamal .. omg enough already.

This doesn't even include my family which by itself has 4 birthdays this month. Sigh. Let's do some maths here. July babies are conceived in October? Okay let's say the October / November period. I can't think of one celebration or occasion in October/November except for er... Deepavali, Thanksgiving and OktoberFest! LOL

I'm going to Summerset again! Wooohoooo .. another 4 or 5 days of sun, sea and sand. Someone better remind me it's for work on the way there though. So in essence, I'm running away from the birthday parties in KL to summerset where the booze is free and the party is by the sea? Woot.

I officially think that i cannot live in an area / place / home that has air-conditioning 24 hours. I've been living at my mum's for the past two days cuz someone needs to look after granny right? And the air-con is killing me. I just can't stop sneezing!

Enough. I'm outta here. Pizza dude just arrived anyways. Peace

The End

The end of the World Cup. What began one month ago flew by so fast that some of us are still wanting more football. Sigh unfortunately the next game will be August 13th, Liverpool vs Chelsea for the Community Shield.

Okay back to the World Cup Finals. After mopping and bitching about the loss of the French, I've concluded that Zidane lost his cool and with it the chances of France winning the World Cup.

Who would dare take a penalty like this in a Final ever?

For any un-biased football fan, if you were watching the same game as i was France was dominating possession from the second half onwards. I mean Italy pratically camped in their half and made 50m back passes to Buffon.

Enough of the whining i say, Zidane went nuts with the headbutt. The way i look at it, Materazzi isn't the smallest fella on the field so Materazzi must have said something nasty. Zidane quoted in the papers today that he will talk about his 'headbutt' in the next couple of days. We shall wait.

Buffon, Miguel, Lahm, Thuram, Cannavaro, Ribery, Makelele, Pirlo, Malouda, Zidane and Podolski. Subs: Ricardo, Gallas, Riquelme, Messi & Henry

Cannavaro was outstanding the entire tournament. He should have won the Golden Ball. Voting should take place after the Finals and not at half time. Tsk tsk tsk

Needless to say it's gonna be another 4 year wait for the greatest show on earth to grace us again.

France vs Portugal

I'm hoping for a great game of football just like how the first semi-finals played out. I consider Simao as Portugal's greatest threat but with Deco and Costinha back i doubt he'll be playing. Phew.

Zidane will be playing for with all guns blazing. France will want him to go out with another World Cup medal so that's why i think France WILL win this one.

Score prediction: France to win 2-0 / 3-1 in 90 minutes.

Kudos to Germany for making it this far with an un-German approach of attacking football. Klose should win the Golden Boot and Klinsmann should be congratulated on a job well done. Watch out for them in Euro 2008.
